Meta’s $18 billion settlement could reshape social media for young people

On Wednesday, Meta reached a landmark settlement and agreed to pay up to $18 billion to 47 states, as well as the District of Columbia and U.S. territories, to settle claims that its social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, endangered children through addictive features.
