After Donald Trump and his allies targeted Kimmel, the FCC moved against ABC and Sen. Ted Cruz is warning that it crosses a line

Once again, the Federal Communications Commission, surely spurred on by President Donald Trump, is taking aim at a network over a joke.

ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel made a crack about first lady Melania Trump on his show last week. He said she had the glow of an “expectant widow.”

It was a silly joke, and honestly, not all that funny. But harmless, too, and not offensive unless you’re looking to be offended.

And, of course, the Trumps were looking to be offended.
