In his speech, UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned that “we are witnessing an extraordinary transfer of power away from governments to a handful of private corporations and individuals,” and cautioned that “technological power alone cannot guarantee security.” He said humanity must govern artificial intelligence “before it governs us.”
