Stephen Colbert said he’d return to public access TV. Then he actually did it.
One day after ending his 11-year run on CBS, Colbert resurfaced on a quirky Michigan community access show with Jack White, Jeff Daniels and Eminem
Stephen Colbert is already back on TV.
Well, for a moment he was. Just a day after he wrapped up his 11-year run as host of CBS’s “The Late Show,” Colbert made a guest appearance on “Only in Monroe,” a community access show broadcast in southeast Michigan.
And Colbert was far from the only A-lister on the show. Rock star Jack White was a volunteer musical director and Colbert interviewed actor Jeff Daniels. Both White and Daniels are natives of Michigan. Meanwhile, actor Steve Buscemi appeared in a filmed bit, as did rapper Eminem, who acted as a “fire marshal.” Colbert also FaceTimed comedian and media mogul Byron Allen, whose “Comics Unleashed” show now airs during Colbert’s former time slot on CBS.
