The state divide on climate
Nearly two dozen states are working to undermine efforts to address climate change, including breaking off doing business with financial institutions with climate strategies — with roughly the same number opposing climate legislation passed by the Senate over the weekend. Yet the bill is likely to increase investment in renewables in some of those same states, whose officials often have welcomed wind and solar facilities.
