As you know, I want to understand what’s happening, to protect my family — and I write this blog to share what I find out to help you protect yours.

One source I appreciate is Consumers Checkbook, a nonprofit that provides quality and price ratings of service and healthcare professionals in the Boston, Chicago, Delaware Valley, Puget Sound, San Francisco, Twin Cities, and D.C. areas.

I want to share with you an email I received from Consumers Checkbook yesterday, about the latest “phishing” scams.

These scams, where cybercriminals impersonate banks, government agencies, delivery services and other organizations, are the top cyber threat faced by most Americans, Consumer Checkbook says.

And they’re increasingly sophisticated.
