The longtime CNN anchor had raised concerns about the network’s new owner and emphasized journalistic independence in announcing her departure
Legendary anchor and foreign correspondent Christiane Amanpour announced Monday that she would leave CNN next year after more than four decades at the cable network.
“After thinking carefully for several months and experiencing a few sleepless nights, as you can imagine, I have decided to separate from CNN, my partner of 43 fantastic years,” she said.
