The show boasted record-breaking metrics just days before major firings and new leadership
The media world is still buzzing after last week’s stunning news about “60 Minutes.”
CBS News controversial Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss, along with CBS News President Tom Cibrowski, turned the gold standard of TV news upside down.
Executive producer Tanya Simon, who had been with the program nearly three decades, was fired, along with several other production staff. Also out were correspondents Cecilia Vega and Sharyn Alfonsi, both of whom have blasted Weiss. They’ve questioned the credibility of the network under her leadership and the ownership of the network led by Trump ally David Ellison.
