Democrats consult a variety of news outlets. Republicans largely turn to Fox.
While Democrats tend to get their news from and trust a variety of major outlets, Republicans by and large turn to one source — Fox News — according to a Pew Research Center study released Tuesday.
The study is based on a March survey of nearly 9,500 American adults, who were given a list of 30 outlets and asked whether they had heard of them. For each outlet that the respondent was familiar with, researchers then asked if they trusted the outlet, if they distrusted the outlet and whether the outlet was a source from which they regularly get news.
